On occasion it is necessary to subvert the law to maintain the peace.

What is permissible is not always honorable. – Cicero

I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

  • I am not young enough to know everything.
  • The world was my oyster but I used the wrong fork.
  • I think that God, in creating man, somewhat overestimated his ability.
  • I don't want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there
  • The world is a stage and the play is badly cast.
  • Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.
  • Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
  • Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination.
  • Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
  • To love oneself id the beginning of a lifelong ROMANCE.
  • Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.
  •  I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.
  • Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Oscar Wilde...

The price of greatness is responsibility.

  • Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.
  • Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room.

  • Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
  • Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities because it has been said, it is the quality which guarantees all others.
  • If you’re going through hell, keep going.
  • All I can say is that I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me.
  • It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.
  • Terminological inexactitude.

Ladies and gentlemen, Sir Winston Churchill

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
